Make an appointment in 3 steps.
Step 1: Select a staff member.
Step 2: Select an available date.
Step 3: Select an available timeslot.

All study rooms must be vacated one hour before the library closes.
You must be an OU student, faculty or staff and have a valid OU email address in order to reserve a room; Bookings are limited to OU email addresses only (i.e., @oakland.edu).
Study Room bookings may be made up to 2 weeks in advance.
You may book up to 3 one-hour slots per day, 4 days per week, two weeks in advance across the entire system (all floors). The week runs Sun.-Sat.
Once you have confirmed your reservation, that reservation is yours for the duration of the slot(s). You may come and go as you wish.
The 3 one-hour slots may be booked as one block, three single blocks, or other such configurations
When a reservation is made, users will receive a "confirm your booking" email and when confirmed, a "confirmed" email.
Only your Public reservation name is viewable by all
Research consultations are generally half-hour appointments with a librarian and offer customized help on your specific research topic.
You must be an OU student, faculty or staff to schedule an appointment. Appointments are limited to OU email addresses only (i.e., @oakland.edu).
When you schedule an appointment, you will receive a confirmation email with the appointment details.
Confirmation emails include links for rescheduling or canceling the appointment should you need to.
In-Person Research Help
In-person research help with one of our library faculty members is available by registration from 9-11am and 12-3pm, Monday - Friday.
By registering for in-person research help, you are agreeing to follow all required safety guidelines currently in place, including completing the daily campus health screening and wearing a mask over your nose and mouth.
If you are unable to follow those guidelines, please schedule a virtual research help appointment at https://libcal.oakland.edu/appointments/.
Individuals who do not follow these guidelines during in-person research help will be directed to get help in another format.
The OU Libraries’ MakerSpace will be closed for the fall 2021 and winter 2022 semesters and will reopen when we are fully staffed.
